The 3rd Singapore AIDS Conference will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of November 2002 at the Singapore Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The theme of this year's conference is "Change - Attitudes, Behaviour - the Future." The opening of the 3rd Singapore AIDS Conference will be held on 22 November, with main speeches by the Guest-of-Honour, Dr Balaji Sadasivan, Minister of State of Health and Environment and the keynote speaker, Senator Mechai Viravaidya from Thailand. Senator Mechai was the key architect of Thai Government's response to HIV/AIDS in 1991-1992. Since then there has been a 77 percent decline in new infections in the country.

The Singapore AIDS Conferences have been held biannually since 1998. The Conference is designed for individuals and organizations involved and interested in AIDS prevention and education, and those providing support, welfare and care activities. It serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas, sharing of research findings and experiences, and an opportunity to update knowledge and skills.

Registration fee is S$70; medical practitioners will be accredited 8 CME points for attendance.

Further Information on registration can be obtained through comcon@pacific.net.sg or telephone 62938220.
