Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason

Director: Beeban Kidron

Starring: Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth, Hugh Grant

Screening: 2004-11-23

Bridget Jones, the sad, lonely and bottom-heavy British journalist,
returns with more diary confessions. But not only is she getting
luckier with men, she's also getting lucky with women.

Yes, lesbian readers, this sequel features a sexy liplock between
the luscious Renee and her attractive female co-star Jacinda Barrett
in a moment of sexual experimentation! And we must say that she
does quite a job of it, lingering on Ms Barrett's lips for quite
a while.

Based on Helen Fielding's novels, the story picks up from where
we last saw Bridget — that is, in the arms of the stodgy Mark
Darcy. Unfortunately, their relationship goes on the rocks thanks
to Bridget's neurotic tendencies.

But as one might guess, all's well that ends well with our heroine
concluding: "I truly believe that happiness is possible, even when
you're 33 and have a bottom the size of two bowling balls."

And ultimately, that's what we all need to believe in; even
if this sequel isn't all that good or funny.
