Social Services presents the Art-in-Film Festival at Dusk (AFFD), Asia’s first festival for films on art. Attendees can look forward to eight critically acclaimed international films and documentaries, including several Asian and Singaporean debuts, while relaxing on the beach. AFFD is set to be an immersive experience replete with film-related performances and gourmet food by Tanjong Beach Club.
Included in the film line-up are Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry, an inside look into the life of China's most infamous artist; The Artist is Present, on renowned performance artist Marina Abramovic as she prepares for a retrospective of her work at MoMA; and Black White + Gray, a documentary exploring the relationships between photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, his curator and lover Sam Wagstaff and the increasingly gay-friendly New York of the 1970s.
