[REMIX] Listen to Ed Drewett "Good Morning" (Monsieur Adi Remix)

Italian DJ, designer and producer Monsieur Adi was impressed by E Drewett's "Good Morning" as well and decided to completely reinterpret the original track by taking the original completely apart to properly isolate Drewett's soulful vocals and amplify the song's melancholic sentiment.

Back in June, I first alerted you about Ed Drewett's new buzz track "Good Morning" when I posted the video for the song. Drewett is most certainly no stranger to pop aficionados among you. The young Londoner is responsible for writing a bunch of big pop hits, including The Wanted's "Glad You Came" that is without a doubt one of the year's biggest pop tunes in America.

While writing songs for other people, Drewett has also been writing and recording his own artist material for an upcoming album release. "Good Morning" gives us a good taste of Drewett's feel-good pop writing. It's a charming pop ditty that brings out the sunshine on a rainy day with lyrics about enjoying the moment even when things appear bleak. "I can make it good when it is bad in your eyes," Drewett passionately croons. "If the rain falls, let it fall keep an eye out for gold. And if it is pouring let it slide."

Italian DJ, designer and producer Monsieur Adi was impressed by Drewett's "Good Morning" as well and decided to completely reinterpret the original track. After remixing songs by Frankmusik and Ellie Goulding early on in their careers, Adi once again demonstrates that he has a knack for selecting exciting new talent to remix for.

For his remake of "Good Morning," Monsieur Adi took the original completely apart to properly isolate Drewett's soulful vocals and amplify the song's melancholic sentiment. He then added some brooding, baroque synths, soaring strings and a slow-churning new groove to create a grand sonic soundscape that gives Drewett's original an epic new quality. It's a phenomenal piece of work that demonstrates Adi's finely tuned musicality while also emphasizing the powerful melodic quality of Drewett's original. Five out of five stars.
