Caitlyn Jenner is revealed on Vanity Fair cover

In her first public interview since undergoing a gender transition, Caitlyn Jenner is Vanity Fair's June cover story

In a cover photograph that depicts Caitlyn Jenner (previously Bruce Jenner) in a ivory colored corset and the headline "Call me Caitlyn," Caitlyn Jenner has revealed the story of her gender transition.

In a story by Buzz Bissinger, Jenner discusses how she felt living as a man and the process of transitioning. She also completed an "emotional" two-day photo shoot with Annie Leibovitz at Jenner's Malibu home.

Jenner is an American former track and field athlete and television personality who rose to recent fame the reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians. After her divorce with Kris Jenner in 2015, Jenner came out as a trans woman.

In the story, Jenner reveals the panic attack she experienced after having facial surgery. She recalls thinking, “What did I just do? What did I just do to myself?” Bissinger reveals that Jenner has not had genital surgery.

She also tells Bissinger the thought has since passed and not come back: “If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life. You never dealt with yourself,’ and I don’t want that to happen.”

A number of celebrities have shown support for Jenner, often using the hash tags #CaitlynJenner or "CallMeCaitlyn. One of Caitlyn’s daughters, Kendall Jenner, and stepdaughters Kim and Khloé Kardashian took to twitter to express pride and support.

Lady Gaga said "thanku for being a part of all of our lives & using your platform to change people's minds" and Ellen DeGeneres tweeted "My hope for the world is that we can all be as brave as Caitlyn Jenner."
