Fans of Japanese horror need no introduction to this movie. The
original Dark Water film was directed by Hideo Nakata of
The Ring fame. It was shown in Singapore a couple of years
ago.
When its remake rights were bought over by Hollywood, Walter Salles
(The Motorcycle Diaries) was asked to direct the English
version of it.
This version stars the impossibly beautiful Jennifer Connelly as
a woman who was recently separated from her husband. She brings
her young daughter to live in New York's Roosevelt Island, but the
new apartment they're moving into is haunted. The puddles in the
elevator and the wet stain in the ceiling all point to a strange
past involving water?
That's for now. We'll tell you more next week.
