  The venue for the 4th Asia Pacific Outgames for LGBTI athletes in February 2016 has been announced as Auckland in New Zealand.

Darwin, the capital city of Australia's Northern Territory, has been selected to host the 3rd Asia Pacific Outgames in May 2014.

To be held in Wellington, New Zealand from 12-19 March 2011, the Outgames involves 16 sporting competitions, a human rights conference, an arts and cultural festival and social events. In related news, Gay Games and Outgames announce intention to merge by 2018.

An exuberant full house celebrated the Asia Pacific Outgames opening ceremony in Melbourne on Jan 31. LGBT competitors throughout the Asia Pacific have less than two weeks to limber up for the region's first outgames. Participants will converge on Melbourne between Jan 30 and Feb 3 where sport and advocacy will be equally on the agenda.

As part of the Melbourne Outgames to be held Jan 30 - Feb 3, a 2-day human rights conference will feature a diverse range of panels including GLBT workforce issues, law, health, business, education and sport led by legal experts, LGBT activists, academics and and community leaders.

The inaugural Asia Pacific Outgames will coincide with Melbourne's annual Midsumma Festival in January and February next year.
