The movie poster says: There are places man was never meant to
go?The movie poster is right. Don't go to The Cave. There
are movies man was never meant to watch.

Apparently, somewhere beneath an ancient Romanian church is a place
that is big, dark and hollow. And we're not talking about the director's
head. In this ancient cave, horrible ancient creatures live, having
"evolved in isolation?for centuries. So when a group of treasure
hunters travel downwards in search of ancient treasures, these creatures
understandably go ancient on them?

If we kept using the word "ancient? it's for a good reason. Almost
every scare tactic, plot twist and monster design in this movie
seems soooo old. We've seen it in Alien, Jurassic Park
and many other creature features.

The Cave set is kind of cool, though. And if you like
cheesy B-movies, well, maybe there are places you were meant to
go?
