Watch: Philippines launches new LGBT-themed drama

New ‘teleserye’ produced by JaDine, featuring James Reid and Nadine Lustre, will have an LGBT storyline

A new television drama “Til I Met You” will air next month featuring a gay love triangle as the major storyline.

Alongside Reid and Lustre, the series will star JC Santos. The character played by Santos is set to have a crush on Sebastian, who is played by Reid.

The trio have just finished filming the first part of the series in sunny Greece.

In an interview on Tonight With Boy Abunda, Reid said of the scrip “We’re proud to be ones who get to tackle that issue.”

“It’s something new, it’s something very different, and it’s something unusual,” added Lustre.

Other shows in the Philippines that have included LGBT themes include o“Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala” (2013) and “Nasaan Ka, Elisa” (2011),

“My Husband’s Lover” (2013), “The Rich Man’s Daughter” (2015), and “Destiny Rose” (2015).
