A Hong Kong-based charity that uses art to fight sexual-orientation discrimination is taking the largest ever LGBT Asian contemporary art exhibition to Bangkok in November.
Hong Kong’s government this week rejected calls to include a question on sexual orientation in its 2021 census, against LGBT lawmakers and activists voicing of a need for such evidence to advocate for laws and policies.
The party plans to submit revisions to the country’s civil code to allow same-sex couples to marry or enter into a special partnership with equivalent rights.
They plan to get married in every country where it is legal to do. This will take six months and is intended to raise awareness about the lack of such rights in their home country.
